I have had my siding blown off twice once in a sand storm the other in 60mph winds during a storm. They said it was 80 mph but I know one thing the rain was blowing in a straight line through a crack in between the storm windows and the wall.
I listen to th ham radio storm chasers to keep up with the latest developments. |

| | wildcatkc | May 13, 2:35pm | Its scary...about 15 miles SE of where I live houses were blown off their foundations and one house was completely missing. These were stick built houses... and poof gone with the wind I guess. I need to get one of those radios though, we've got at least a couple more weeks of our peak tornado time here.

Sponsor | | ihavewebfeet | May 16, 4:13pm | Unfortunately, the local weather folks are of the "sky is falling" attitude. It becomes harder and harder to believe what they say.
In the ten months we've been here, we should have had 4 tornadoes come within visual range of or right over our home.
We still listen and stay awake with them through the wee hours just in case. I fear it's going to get some injured or killed, though. |
